Red Room Films is run by Claire Ingham – a producer with sixteen years of experience in film/television drama production and development - and a strong track record of working with top-class writers, directors and commissioners. Short films made by the company have been seen at festivals around the world, broadcast in the UK and sold for distribution in the US.

Claire began her television career at Granada Television in 1992 as a promotional trailermaker/scriptwriter, where she created campaigns for programmes as diverse as Prime Suspect and World in Action. After graduating with an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia in 1994, she was recruited to Central Television as a promotions producer, specialising in drama launch campaigns. She became the Creative Producer of Childrens’ ITV in 1996, where she was responsible for all the branding, presentation, promotional strategy and output of CITV. She left in 1998, having secured the CITV contract for Central/Carlton TV for the next two years.

Claire spent the next eight years as a freelance TV drama ‘soap’ and film writer, script editor, development consultant and short film producer - working for companies as diverse as the BBC, Hallmark, Carlton Television, Red Rooster, Alibi and Ecosse Films, before she set up Red Room Films Ltd in 2006. Between January 2005 and October 2008 the company also supplied Claire’s services to London-based independent Impossible Pictures where she was Head of Drama Development.

Claire is a trainer for PACT, a consultant to Midlands-based writer’s charity and training organisation SCRIPT and a visiting lecturer to university production and writing courses in the East and West Midlands.
